PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR THE ELEVATOR AND I’M ALREADY HALFWAY UP THE STAIRS.

I'm lucky enough to love what I do. When I’m not brain-dumping or ideating, I try to spend as much time as possible with friends and family. I love a good party theme, traveling, mentoring young creatives and volunteering.

Although I started as a graphic designer many years ago, I continue to add to the "things I tried, and man, I pulled that off" column. Creative strategy, interior wayfinding systems, photoshoots, and writing SOPs for onboarding and training have all helped me feel well-rounded and prepared for anything in the creative arena.

I believe failing is learning, to feel the fear and do it anyway. I'm not saying I run into a burning building 100% of the time, but if there's a design in trouble, I won't think twice about saving it from Comic Sans or a gradient.

I am obsessed with learning to be a better version of myself. I love to listen to professional development books, take classes, and attend seminars. I want to create future leaders and spend much time mentoring young women creatives. Last year, I formed a non-profit called Creative Career Tours, whose mission is to expose young women to leadership roles in design.

I have an ongoing list of “good ideas” on my phone, and I’m not afraid to use them. I believe in design thinking and empathy mapping. I like to find creative solutions that make sense for the end user. Checking a box is excellent for a to-do list, but it has no place in the innovative design world.

When I’m not designing or in a Pinterest hole, I can be found planning get-togethers with friends and family. My husband and I love to travel and find hole-in-the-wall restaurants all over the region.
